Anytime a story gains national media attention, is a “high profile” story, ensnared the public, and engages people in national discourse, my alarm bells go off.
I did not follow the Lindsay Clancy story closely. I was peripherally aware of it, but the minute details were not on my radar and I did not watch any of the court proceedings. Something about it felt very “off” to me but I couldn’t quite put my finger on it. Then, the social media videos of women causing willful harm to their children started showing up.
It’s not lost on me how extremely rotten the culture is. Women can be monsters; men, too. But I work outside of the home a few days a month, so I have contact with people outside of my Catholic bubble. I don’t know a single solitary woman who agrees with Lindsay Clancy, defends her, looks a their own children with disdain, or would ever willfully inflict harm on their kids. The whole thing seemed very very strange to me. Who are these throngs of women who marched in support of Clancy?
A friend sent me this Substack article this morning and I must say, I agree with it.
The whole thing was a psyop, plain and simple. It has all the hallmarks of an op. And the lesson learned here is to proceed with extreme emotion so caution when these kind of stories overtake our lives.
Detach from the spectacle as Dr. Deep State would say. Wise advice.
