Today marks the 81st anniversary of the U.S. atomic bombing of Nagasaki.
Recall that Nagasaki was heavily Catholic at the time, having the highest concentration of Catholics in Japan. This earned it the nicknames “the Rome of Japan” and “Little Rome”. It was the center of Japanese Catholicism, having the largest Catholic community in the country. The atomic bomb that was dropped on August 9, 1945, detonated directly above the Urakami district, which was the historic center of Nagasaki’s Catholic population. The blast destroyed the Urakami Cathedral and instantly wiped out a significant portion of the city’s Catholic population. Was Nagasaki specifically targeted by the Freemasons of the U.S. government because of this religious demographic? Hmmmm.
