I receive zero financial kickback here. I have not been asked to promote anything; I’m simply sharing this with my readers as it is what I provide for my own family.
As a follow up to podcast episode 7, I’m including a link here for flour that is produced from glyphosate-free wheat. Or at least as close to glyphosate-free as one can get in the U.S. without having to import flour from Europe.
I try to follow a low carb lifestyle as I don’t think anyone really needs grains in their diet, but I have kids, so waffles are a thing in this house. So is sourdough bread (specifically for those meat-free Friday lunches of grilled cheese and tomato soup). So I at least have the peace of mind that when I do bake, my children aren’t stuffing their faces with a boatload of Roundup.
Here is the company where I buy my all-purpose, pizza, pasta, and bread flour from (because yes, we make our own pasta, birthday cakes, and sourdough pizza).
I’ve been buying from Sunrise for years. I don’t live in Minnesota – they ship nationwide. And the flour is recently milled, which makes it about as fresh as it can get outside of milling it yourself.
If you’re doing a bread fast for Lent (I’m looking at you, Harvey Millican) give this some thought!
God bless you all!
